What Is Online Scout Manager (OSM)
Online Scout Manager is the database we use to record all our vital and sensitive information of our young people. On here we will store your child's personal details, Emergency Contact Info, badge progression, Programmes, Attendance Registers and first aid incidents plus much more. As your child grows and moves between sections OSM will keep records of all that's been achieved across all sections. This database allows our volunteers to have all the necessary information and logs to offer the best opportunities for your child.
Important Features
Parent Portal Access
Whilst your child is a member of the group you will have your own access log in to your childs record
You can log in at the following link
Badges @ Home
You can work on badges at home and check your child's progress for each badge
If you select a badge in the badges section and press complete@home you can upload badge work evidence and select the badge requirements you think your child has completed.
Your leaders will then get a notification to approve the badge upload. If they have not covered the requirements then the leader will decline with feedback and then you can re upload again
Personal Details
From parent portal you can change, update and edit your child's personal details whenever you need to. This helps to ensure we always have access to the most up-to date information should an emergency occur
Please ensure whenever personal details change or if theirs any medical changes you complete new paper forms at your earliest convenience
Technology does not always work so we ensure all details are securely locked away but available should they be required
Group Health Forms are required to be updated every 12 months
Who Has Access
In your parent portal you can see under the access tab who has access to your child's profile & Information
If you see someone on here that should not have access or you want to remove existing access then please let the section Team Leader or Group Lead Volunteer know as soon as possible. Your child's safety is our top priority

Programme
From parent portal you will be able to view and see the programme. This is a the activities/Themes we get up to each week and the badges your child is due to cover
Although it can be good to see what your child should be doing its important to note that programmes can change due to a range of factors so don't always go by what's displayed in the portal programme
